Aikido can be termed as the oldest martial art used the world over. The Aikido has been taught all over the world for centuries for their self-defense, protection, and balance. The people also learn to have center and balance to their life.
This type of art needs constant practice and dedication as it is not only to learn self-defense but also discipline. Basically it is the way of life. This is the reason a person who wants to study Aikido should search for the school which will teach them the basics but also foster your talent.
Here are some tips in choosing a good aikido school.
1) Look for the recommended one: All the training schools are geared to teach the tricks and techniques of Aikido but some of them can give the person better training. The best thing that can be done by anyone is to ask around the people in the neighborhood, friends etc. The person should be aware about the teaching methods and the neighbors can vouch for the same and they can let them know if any that is convenient to the person or close to the home or office or school.
The best method would be to ask any martial arts teacher even though they do not teach Aikido they would know who the best teacher in your locality is and they will be able to recommend the best one. You can also check on the internet as there will be many member sites and they must be recommending one school. Forums like these are very effective as the members are mostly Aikido or Martial arts buff and who are aware who is the best and what they are talking about.
3) The training institute Closer to home, Office or school: More than training the location plays a important role as the far away places may not make you a regular visitor and will result in frequent absenteeism
This can hamper the training. The advantages of the location closer to home is that you can meet some of the acquaintance and can also ask your friends and family members to accompany which will ensure your interest and attendance for all the classes.
4) Teacher and mentor: The person who is interested in Aikido should make sure they meet up with their teacher and talk to them and make sure what they are looking is all available in that mentor.
Although it may seem unimportant, it is vital to also be attuned and in harmony with the teacher of aikido as he or she will not only be teaching you aikido basics but also your mentor in your life.
5) Scheduling: Find out your free times and then look for school which can schedule as per your schedule. Remember that the time that you will be training is also important because it will determine your readiness for the lesson. If your schedule is not the right fit, you will only feel tired and uninspired during the training. This will not be a good sign as you will not be able to learn what you are planning to.

In Aikido, when the attacker approaches, the person has just a split second to decide whether to block or avoid the move of the opponent. Here the defender does not have time to think of the things how it all started and he needs to decide how to stop it.
In most of the fights the person defending himself would usually make a counter attack to stop the attacker. But the aikido has different techniques where an individual can learn to counter attack without the force.
The martial art of blocking the moves of the opponent with the help of hand is known as Aikido. Any person wanting to learn it can be effective in fighting even if they are not so fast paced. This martial art cannot be learned from the books or watching a video or somebody performs. It requires the step by step learning from a master.

This is all the part of the training and the student will surely feel some pain after falling down a few times on the mat but this is not to torture the pupil. Here the student needs to learn the moves properly to move to the advanced classes.
The timing is the main essence, and hand and eye coordination is required which can direct the force back to the opponent. The use of wrist is also very important where the person should be smooth enough to put one hand over the opponents to be able to make the technique work and counter the attack.
Breathing exercises are a must for the individual as it can help the physical and the emotional well being of the person. The energy which is required can be increased with the breathing exercises.
The student of Aikido should keep in mind that breathing exercises also unifying force between the physical and the emotional aspect of the person.
The consistency with the technique is the most important secret of mastering aikido. The arms feel heavy after some time and energy is drained after a few moves. By being able to do the same thing despite these difficulties, anyone can truly be called a true martial artist.
You can sign up for Tomiki Aikido which is a competitions held by various clubs where the student can compete with the best in the country.
Those who do well in this competition can move to the next skill level which is just like karate where a student keeps moving from one belt to another. If after many years, that student has learned all the secrets that go with aikido, this is the only time one can be called a master and even open a dojo.

All human have the power of choice and they can use it the way they want. They do have the power of life and death. For example it is their choice to give way to others while crossing or pull that gun out and shoot while hunting.
Most criminals take advantage of the common people and harm them to get easy money instead of working for it. The criminals are lurking behind bushes or cars and the common person can become a target of such criminals.
The police at the time you are mugged or being looted is not able to protect or help the common man. So what does a common man do. He should try and protect himself and that can be achieved if they learn martial arts. They do not need to be black belt or as good as other people but they should learn how to hit on the attacker and save themselves.
The most popular and passive sport can be aikido. Here the defendant does not have the intention to kill or injure the other person but just to defend themselves. The main criteria is just to restrain the opponent with the minimum force for the defenders safety.
There are many institutes in your area who teach the art of aikido and if interested you can join one and learn the art. If you want you can move up and learn basic, intermediate and advanced level of aikido.
The basic course teaches you the technique based in the shape of a square. As they go further they learn the triangle and then the final is the circle. This takes lots of hard work and time, so a commitment is required.
Here the main criteria are for the person to be able to learn different techniques with little effort. This will give them the energy to fight if there are more than one attacker. The holds, grips and falls are taught and cannot be compared with the happening on the street.
The aikido has many competitions and they are held regularly for the person to learn and practice. The student can watch their instructor taking part in the various competitions and learn from it.
The main aim of the aikido is trying not to injure the other person but make than so incapacitate that they will not be able to hit back. The battle in the street need to avoid at any cost and the art should be used only as a last resort.
There are chances that the attacker is also trained and then you would just need to use your mind as this will help you work faster than the opponent and you can defend yourself.
The secrets of aikido are hand coordination, eye coordination, the flexible wrist, controlled breathing and speed. This will all be handy when there is a situation of life and death.
There is a line that goes, “no pain, no gain.” Unfortunately, this will happen in order to be good at aikido since the one who has the competitive edge will be the victor in any battle. The person can do well in any combat situation as long as one is guided by senior students and the Sensei and believes in his or herself.

The most secretive art of martial art is Ninjutsu. Here the history is very sketchy about its origin and how it came into being. All every one knows is that the state of Koga region and their families are the creators of the Ninjutsu.
Over the years there are 70 different styles of Ninjutsu which have been discovered and identified, and they have had a premature death. They were all set with a specific skill and techniques and it died with its originator. The skills when became redundant they seem to be died down and lost.
It is similar to the art of Ninja from earlier Japan. The Ninja’s were very secretive and they had very tough and demanding training. Those people who were actual Ninja’s are either dead or are so secretive that they do not come forward and let the world know their true identities.
In the 1980’s Ninja had become popular of martial arts and the Ninjutsu also reared its head and black became popular color. After a few years, the trend seems to die out and people were no more interested in learning this form of martial arts.
The Ninjutsu refers to the group and not any style or technique. The each master has his own way of interpreting the style and technique and teaches them in different ways.
Ninjutsu usually prefer armed and unarmed fighting skills which are combined with the philosophy, strategy and history. There are very few masters who are offering this art form and they have their own style.
During the fight, Ninjutsu focuses on distance, posture and flow. The students are taught to respond to every movement and take advantage of the position. This will take him from the negative to positive.
Ninjutsu is popular in Japan and therefore it has still remained the secretive martial art form. The technique is used for self defence. It also provides power and control. The student of the Ninjutsu has been taught to use the entire body for full power. It is the best art form and you should learn it, only if you find a teacher who can teach you.

The founder Morihei Ueshiba was born in 1883 and while growing up he watched his father being mugged by the muggers. He decided he will make himself strong and will seek revenge from those thugs. He was strong willed and used every waking hours to physical train himself.
He was the recipient of many certificates in Jujitsu, fencing and spear fighting. Even though he was very good at all the skills he found himself not happy with his own skills. He turned towards religion to look into greater significance to life. He was pursuing the martial arts all the while he was searching for meaning to the life.
The Aikido was born of his religious beliefs and training in martial arts. Earlier this style was known as Aikibudo and later in 1942 he started it as Aikido. The style even though took the help of Jujitsu, spear and sword fighting techniques into consideration was different.
The Aikido is the art which is based on the religion and harmony. They usually used the weight manipulation, joint locks, and throw. This martial art is very effective and has many techniques and is the result of his creative innovations.
While Aikido is rich in heritage and religion, there is really no belief or philosophy in the martial art of Aikido. It only believes in harmony and peace. They aim to reach the higher spiritual power. Ueshiba always believed that the human body can do anything. Even though his main aim was revenge he still believed that this is a way to bring together all human beings and making a world one big family.
Steven Seagal made the art popular in America with his numerous movies in which he showed the power and harmony of Aikido. The people who practice the art of Aikido not only believe in self –defense but it will also teach the harmony of the spirit and finding the inner peace.

The art of defending and exercising is also known as the Kung fu and it is a martial art which originated in Japan. This martial art is very famous and it is also known as Gung fu, Wu Shu and the Kuo Shu. It is similar to karate in the sense it uses both the arms and legs. It is one of the oldest form of martial arts.
The Kung Fu itself has many varieties and styles but they are basically born of the same style and it has its bearings in Shaolin Temple. The lesser known fact is that the Chinese practiced Kung Fu much before the Shaolin Temple discovered it.
The Kung Fu is the exercise of body, soul and mind are it is regarded as the true art form. However it is a martial arts for many for defence and fight.
The Kung fu as other martial arts do not teach the students to overpower the opponent but rather look into themselves and control their emotions. It is known as the art of harmony which helps the students to remain calm at all times and do not instigate others to fight and avoid any kind of conflicts. But it also teaches if there is no other way to avoid fight then they are ready to fight to defend themselves.
Just like other types of martial arts, Kung Fun teaches the balance that is crucial for executing techniques and the proper movement. The basic concept behind the balance is that same balance that the Chinese believe keeps the balance between heaven and earth. This concept of balance can be achieved by students if they completely focus their thoughts and empty their minds free from any type of distractions.
Kung Fu is an art which can be learned by everyone. And even though it teaches to student to stay calm it becomes very aggressive. Like in the case of Karate they also depict five animals which include the - Tiger, Dragon, Eagle Claw, Crane, and the Snake.
The tiger is the deadliest of all animal style and the students are taught to have power in their hands and just like a tiger the student learns to tear the flesh of the opponent.
Kung Fu does not have world competitions and it has remain as the only martial art which teaches the student to keep calm at all times and to fight only if there is no other options left. Therefore they teach self control, respect for others and for themselves. This is good for the students to deal with the society and mental and physical wellbeing of the students.
